Direto de Stuttgart, Alemanha


Nem só de Frankfurt, fez-se a minha estada na Alemanha. Está naquele país sem visitar algumas das sedes de seus famosos fabricantes de automóvel, seria similar a ir á França e não passar pela Torre Eiffel, ou ir á Roma e não visitar o Coliseu, o Castelo de Santo Ângelo, e para confirmar a minha estada no país onde nasceu o automóvel, por volta de 1886, sobretudo a cidade de Stuttgart, onde ficam dois dos mais importantes museus do mundo automotivo, o da Mercedes-Benz e o da Porsche.


Ticket do trem - DH Banh



Parti de Frankfurt bem cedo em direção a Hauptbahnhof (estação central). A viagem até Stuttgart é bem curta, dura apenas uma hora e dezoito minutos de trem, e logo estaria na principal estação de trens de Stuttgart. As passagens de ida e volta entre as duas contabilizam € 114. O trem que faz o percurso é bem equipado.

Chegando a Stuttgart, logo tratei de comprar o ticket de transporte para um dia, ao custo de € 13,50, o ticket dá direito a viagens de trem, metrô, ou ônibus pela cidade, independente de horário ou quantas vezes você vá utilizar desses serviços, e como iria visitar os museus da Mercedes e da Porsche, já havia traçado com antecedência todo o itinerário pela cidade.

Por ter uma área de apenas 207.36 Km2 , passear por Stuttgart não chega a ser uma tarefa difícil. O percurso de metrô pela cidade é curto, o que facilita transitar utilizando este serviço. O único problema é o intervalo de 10 minutos entre as passagens destes, o que me fez planejar minuciosamente o tempo de espera para cada embarque.

Ambos os pontos de visita ficam próximos, mas neste post relatarei apenas a visita feita no museu da Mercedes-Benz. Pertencente ao Grupo Daimler-Benz, a marca Mercedes surgiu no início do século XX, quando o então piloto e empresário Emil Jellinek virou o revendedor dos carros fabricado por Daimler e Benz para o impe´rio austro-húngaro e América, e pediu que os lotes de seus modelos recebesse o nome de sua filha, Mercedes, nome já utilizado por ele na época de piloto para batizar o seu bólido, aliás sugestão dada pelo barão de Rothschild à Emil.

Aréa dos trófeus de diversas corridas


O museu expõe um acervo 160 carros e mais de 1.500 outros artefatos ligados a história da Mercedes-Benz, e é o único lugar no mundo que conta os 125 anos dos automóveis da marca alemã. O prédio divide-se em duas passagens conectadas, que ocupam 16.500 m2 distribuídos em nove andares.

Corredor com diversas telas que mostram a história, fatos e curiosidades da marcaMercedes-Benz Simplex


OBS: Veículo produzido entre os anos 1902 e 1909. O carro era fábricado pela DMG (Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft) e projetado por Wihelm Maybach. Seu motor tinha potências entre 40 e 60 HP e sua proposta era de um carro que unisse simplicidade e conforto, por este motivo o nome Simplex.


O novo prédio da fabricante de Stuttgart, foi inaugurado em maio deste ano. A obra é monumental e já se tornou um dos atrativos da cidade alemã, e está localizado em frente a sede da empresa. A arquitetura é bem moderna, sobretudo a fachada construída em alumínio e vidro, e tem a assinatura do renomado escritório de arquitetura holandês UNStudio (dos arquitetos Ben van Berkel e Caroline Bos), e exigiu investimentos de € 150 milhões para a sua construção.

Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI - Um dos três exemplares que bateram o recorde de resistência de carros de passeio movidos a diesel, em Laredo, Texas, no ano de 2005. Durante um mês os carros percorreram uma distância de 1000 milhas


Mercedes-Benz 190 E - O modelo fez parte em 1984 de uma corrida em Nürburgring, que reuniu os principais pilotos de F1 da época. Foi com um exemplar igual a este que Ayrton Senna venceu a prova



Carros conceitos e protótipos da marca alemã repousam no museu, depois de rodarem o mundo para serem expostos em salões


Todo o requinte arquitetônico, reserva ao visitante um passeio pelo um século e um quarto da história da marca. Um elevador panorâmico leva os visitantes ao último andar, onde começa a jornada pelo tempo, com a invenção do automóvel, de 1886 a 1900. Daí, descem por duas espirais que levam a salões conceitualmente diferentes, todos estabelecendo a ligação entre o passado e o presente e perspectivas do futuro.

Uma delas leva a sete níveis de áreas legendárias, que exibem cronologicamente a evolução da marca. E a outra, conduz a cinco salas de coleção, que mostram veículos especiais, a evolução tecnológica, os comerciais leves e pesados e outros temas e tópicos do setor. Os dois percursos terminam em um ponto comum, no andar térreo, em uma pista inclinada, com 40 automóveis que participaram de competições e recordes de velocidade em todos os tempos, desde as lendárias Flechas de Prata, passando pela Asa de Gaivota, até os modernos Fórmula 1.

São exibidos filmes de corridas de todas as décadas, e os visitantes se acomodam em simuladores, que repetem as emoções dos mais famosos carros de competição da marca. Além do passado, a mostra Fascínio da Tecnologia proporciona uma visão do trabalho atual dos engenheiros e a possibilidade de uma previsão do futuro do automóvel. O museu abriga também um restaurante, café e várias butiques, com a grife Mercedes-Benz.
